With over a decade of experience as a professional makeup artist, I have washed countless makeup brushes and sponges. Over this time, I grew frustrated by the lack of available brush and sponge cleaning products that are both effective and visually appealing. When the world shut down due to the global pandemic, it was clear that hygiene needed to be prioritised and I could feel a shift in thinking across the beauty industry. I realised how neglected makeup tools really are.

DMV Collective was born out of a desire to change our perceptions around our makeup brushes and see them for the vital piece of our makeup routines that they really are.

Over years of research and collaboration with my team, we have turned our vision into a reality and developed ‘The Cleanser’. The Cleanser is our brush and sponge shampoo & conditioner.This versatile, 2-in-1 product is for everyone. It’s for those working professionally in the beauty industry as well as the everyday person who simply loves makeup, wears it for certain occasions or is interested but doesn’t quite know where to start. Everyone and anyone who uses makeup – this product is yours to love.

I wanted to create a product that was easy-to-use and that could be added seamlessly into one’s makeup routine. I also wanted to ensure that this product was effective & aesthetically pleasing, a product that looked and felt beautiful, that didn’t need to be hidden in a cupboard.
